Alverberg Belgian Liège Waffles was born from a desire to bring authentic Belgian Waffle culture to the San Francisco Bay Area.
Before pursuing his high tech dreams in Silicon Valley, our founder Frank Steegmans grew up in rural Belgium, enjoying many of the gastronomical delights that this little country, proud of its Burgundian heritage, has to offer.
While over the years many of those delights made it across the big pond, artisanally made sugar waffles, also known as Liège waffles, were until now very hard to come by.
